A54 | Solid Red | HOW TO MAKE SOLID RED (A54) Glasurit 22 Line 2K 1L Formula: 22-M0: 197.6g 22-A346: 440.6g 22-M326: 178.1g 22-A160: 123.4g 22-A126: 78.0g A54, the colour code for Solid Red, is a nice and beautiful red that is bright in the sunlight and has an overall nice darkish appearance when out of the sun. It’s a staple colour used on many GT-R R35s and GT-R NISMOs! To make this paint in Glasurit 2K, first some mixing clear binder is firstly needed to hold all of the pigments together. Next, a lot of wine red and brilliant red is added in, with the wine red creating the darker red tone and the brilliant red making the colour move towards a more vibrant red. Afterwards, some reduced white is added in to give the colour a shift towards a lighter and milky look, but not as strong of a shift compared to high strength white. Finally, a reduced black is added in to slightly dirty and darken the colour! All of that together combines A54 Solid Red! |

DAP | Mdinight Purple | HOW TO MAKE MIDNIGHT PURPLE (DAP) Glasurit 55 Line Solvent 1L Formula: 352-91: 173.9g 11-LE645: 47.0g 55-M99/10: 14.3g 11-LE545: 9.7g 55-A929: 288.7g 55-M0: 169.9g 55-A697: 112.3g 55-A589: 57.6g 55-M1: 48.8g DAP, the colour code for Midnight Purple, is the latest iteration of the Midnight Purple family, with a very unique colour appearance inspired by the famous aurora borealis! DAP Midnight purple is an overall a dark greenish blue tone with multiple colour flipping properties that ultimately shows off its purple side! This colour is only available on the brand new R35 Premium T-Spec and Track T-Spec models! To make this paint in Glasurit paint, first you need some green shimmer chameleon pearl, an extreme green pearl that starts as dark emerald green in its original form, but then to a bright green when light strikes with a deep purplish blue reflection, which can transition into a reddish orange at various angles! Next, some medium fine aluminium silver is added to give the metallic a bit of a fine texture overall. The next pearl that is tossed in is a cyan shimmer chameleon pearl, an extreme cyan pearl that starts as a dark bluish red, which the transitions to a bluish green when the light strikes it, with a dark purplish pink reflection! At various angles, it can transition to a reddish orange! Both of those pearls combined create an overall bluish green shimmering pearl with reddish purple shifts! Moving on from the pearls, a bunch of jet black is tossed in to establish the colour base, with some mixing clear binder to ensure the shimmering pearls blend together! After that, some yellowish green is added, along with some blue to overall create a greenish blue tone! Finally, some M1 flip additive is added to cause the pearls and metallic to shine brighter in the sun and leave much darker side angles! All of that combined together creates DAP Midnight Purple! |

EBG | Blaze | HOW TO MAKE BLAZE (EBG) Dark grey to grey undercoat is required to achieve the correct colour. Incorrect undercoat will result in poor paint coverage and an inaccurate colour match Glasurit 55 Line Solvent 1L Formula: 352-91: 173.9g 11-E280: 157.6g 55-M0: 472.8g 55-A347: 36.7g 55-A125: 21.0g 55-A929: 21.0g 55-M1: 21.0g 55-A350: 16.8g 55-A335: 10.5g EBG, the colour code for Blaze, is an orange pearl that is dark on the side angle, but becomes very bright in the sun! This colour was introduced with the MY17 GT-R R35 range to give the various models a new colour option from 2017 onwards. To start, a ton of a fine bronze pearl to create the pearl base and give the colour its orange pearl properties, but a lot of clear mixing binder is needed to hold the pearl together. Next, some maroon is added to give the colour a dark red addition, with an equal amount of reduced white and jet black to give the colour a bit of an overall darkening. After that, some M1 flip additive is added to brighten the pearl on the face of the colour and darken it a lot on the side. Finally, some yellowish red combined with a transparent red pushes the colour much closer to its orange appearance! Mix all that through together and you get EBG Blaze! |

EY0 | Silica Brass | HOW TO MAKE SILICA BRASS (EY0) Glasurit 55 Line Solvent 1L Formula: 352-91: 174.5g 55-M99/19: 487.6 55-M99/22: 137.7g 11-E330: 11.3g 55-A929: 48.4g 55-A974: 25.0g 55-M177: 19.6g 55-A353: 13.8g 55-A143: 6.7g 55-M1: 6.3g EY0, the colour code for Silica Brass, (also known as the incorrectly translated name of Silica Breath) is a nice light goldish metallic with a surprise flash red pearl throughout it! It’s subtle, but it’s definitely there! Making this colour in Glasurit paint requires a lot of rounded aluminium silver for a nice bright shine in the sun, but also plenty of a bright aluminium silver that’s a touch coarser for a nice sparkle in the sun! Only a small amount of the flash red pearl is needed for a subtle pearl effect, combine with some M1 effect additive to make it slightly more visible in the sun! Both a jet black and blue black are needed for a slightly darker tone and a much dirtier look, with an addition of a magenta to clean it up a little and redden it slightly. And you can’t forget both a yellow orange tint and organic yellow tint to finally bring the colour to the sleek light gold it appears to be! There are 2+ variations of the colour out of the OEM factory compared to the Standard version. GAG | Jet Black | HOW TO MAKE JET BLACK (GAG) Glasurit 55 Line Solvent 1L Formula: 352-91: 173.5g 11-E025: 34.6g 55-M919: 25.1g 55-A929: 424.4g 55-M0: 103.8g 55-A697: 96.1g 55-M1: 65.6g GAG, the colour code for Jet Black, is a deep black pearl with a very coarse metallic sparkle in the sun! GAG was one of the 3 new colours introduced for the DBA chassis of R35s that began in 2012, also known as the time the R35 got a face lift! Surprisingly, this colour has two ways of being able to be created, with the latest formula being the more simpler option. To create Jet Black in Glasurit paint, first some clear sparkle pearl is added to give the colour a sparkly look at every angle! Next, a diamond silver is added in to give the colour a brilliant white sparkle, making it even more sparkly at every angle, with tons of jet black added in to establish the black base. After that, some mixing clear binder is added in to help hold the pearl and metallic together, followed by a yellow green to shift the colour to a more greenish black, the best choice of tone to avoid polar opposite colours clashing with the jet black and help preserve the deep black look. Finally, some M1 additive is thrown in to shift the pearls and metallics towards being visible in the sunlight only, giving every other angle of the car its jet black look! All of that combined creates GAG Jet Black! |

KAB | Super Silver | HOW TO MAKE SUPER SILVER (KAB) A slightly dark grey to normal grey undercoat is required to achieve the correct colour. Incorrect undercoat will result in poor paint coverage and an inaccurate colour match Glasurit 55 Line Solvent 1L Formula: 352-91: 173.7g 55-9190: 699.9g 55-A556: 2.3g 55-A697: 2.3g KAB, the colour code for Super Silver, is an extremely fine silver with hints of a blue tone throughout it! A couple of grams of a greenish blue and a yellowish green both combined help give the silver a touch of a blue colour overall when it’s all stirred together, creating KAB Super Silver! There exists 3+ different variants of KAB out of the OEM factory compared to the Standard version. To make the colour in Glasurit paint, first you need a ton of bright aluminium silver, which is quite a coarse silver giving off a silver sparkle in the sunlight, but a dark silver on a side angle. A little bit of medium rounded aluminium silver is thrown in as well to give the metallic a bit of a brighter look in the sunshine. Next, some jet black is added in to begin establishing the colour, with a transparent white containing a blue flip thrown in to push the colour towards a grey tone! The white blue flip tint causes the colour to go from a yellow in at a face view, to a milky blue at a side angle! After that, a magenta combined with a greenish blue are both added in to clash with each other and produce a brown colour! Finally, some M1 flip additive is thrown in to brighten the metallic on the face view and adjust the colour flip to a more darker colour at side angles! All of that mixed together creates KAC Titanium! The colour has 7+ variants out of the OEM factory compared to the Standard version! To make this paint in Glasurit paint, first you need lots of bright aluminium silver for a bright silver sparkle in the sun and a dark silver on the side angles! Some medium bright aluminium silver is added in to create a bit more of a finer sparkly silver whilst maintaining its bright silver look! Next, some jet black is added in to establish the colour base, with some greenish blue thrown in to give the colour a more greenie blue tone. After that, some bluish violet is added to purple up the colour, along with some M1 flip additive to help shift the metallics to be more visible at a face angle rather than the side angle! Following that, some transparent blue is added to give the colour a more bluer tone at different angles, with a small amount of transparent white with blue flip to change the colour flip properties and lighten up the colour to more of a grey slightly! The white with blue flip now causes the colour to appear more yellow at a face view whilst looking more blue at a side angle! All of that mixed together creates KAD Gunmetal! There are 9+ variants out of the OEM factory compared to the Standard version of KAD. This colour was used exclusively on MY15 to MY17 R35 GT-R NISMOs and is the rarest R35 GT-R NISMO colour currently. To make this paint in Glasurit, first a bunch of medium bright aluminium silver is added in to give the colour a fine but bright appearance, with some jet black added in to establish the colour base. Then after that, some greenish blue and bluish violet is mixed in to give the grey a blue tone overall! Finally, some high strength white is added to change the colour from a black to a grey, with all of it being stirred together to create KBL Low Sheen Grey Metallic! To ultimately achieve the right colour, a Matt clear coat is sprayed over the top of the colour, which causes light to be absorbed a lot more than reflected, resulting in a very flat finish! |

Whatever the reasoning, always remember that LAC and LAG are one and the same! |

NAS | Regal Red | HOW TO MAKE REGAL RED (NAS) * Dark Grey to Grey undercoat is required to achieve the correct colour. To create this colour in Glasurit paint, first you need a lot of a very coarse ruby red that has a red sparkle in the sunlight, with some brilliant bronze being thrown in to give it a more orange pearl look! A bunch of mixing clear binder follows next to hold the pearls together, followed by some maroon to give the colour a much darker red tone. Finally, some dark red is added to shift the colour to a much darker red tone than before, with a pinch of jet black to dirty up the colour a bit. All of that mixed together gets you the first layer of the colour! To make the pearl layer in Glasurit paint, a very coarse clear sparkle pearl is first added in along with some very coarse golden yellow sparkle to make the pearl really pop in the sun, along with some mixing clear binder to help keep the pearls together! To give the pearl layer some colour, a lot of maroon is added in to create a dark red layer. The two pearls and maroon combined with the huge amount of mixing binder causes the layer to go transparent, allowing the colour to act like a candy layer in certain aspects! Both layers laid on correctly creates NAS Regal Red! There exists a Lighter variant of the colour out of the OEM factory compared to the Standard version. QAG | Ultimate Opal White | HOW TO MAKE ULTIMATE OPAL WHITE (QAG) Glasurit 55 Line Solvent Base Layer 1L Formula: 352-91: 176.0g 55-M25: 761.4g 55-A927: 87.5g 55-A307: 41.4g 55-A590: 8.1g 55-M146: 2.7g Glasurit 55 Line Solvent Pearl Layer 1L Formula: 352-91: 173.9g 11-LE615: 29.4g 11-E620: 8.8g 55-M0: 644.6g 55-M1: 51.4g QAG, the colour code for Ultimate Opal White, is a 2 layer white pearl with a chameleon colour changing effect that gives the paint a look similar to an actual white opal stone! It was only used on the Egoist & VVIP R35 models and only 25 of them were painted in this colour, making it the rarest R35 paint colour available to consumers! To make the base layer in Glasurit paint, first a ton of high strength white is poured in to start the white base, with some reduced black added in to dirty up the white and slightly darken it. Next, some red oxide is added in to dirty the white some more and shift it towards a more reddish tone, with some light blue added in to help counteract that and shift it to a purple tone. Finally, a pinch of pale yellow is added in for a bit of colour control, with all of those tints mixed together to create the white base! Now for the pearl layer in Glasurit paint, some tropical chameleon pearl is added in first, with this pearl allowing the colour to shift like an opal upon meeting certain lighting conditions! It goes from a light yellow to a light lime shade to a light bronze to a pink coral tone and even from greenish blue or bluish green to a yellow! A truly complex chameleon pearl that only works in certain lighting conditions! Next, some green sparkle pearl is added in to give the overall pearl a more pronounced green pearl shift. A ton of clear mixing binder is added in to hold the pearls together and allow the pearl layer to be transparent, with some M1 flip additive to alter the pearl flip and cause them to appear more on a face angle than the side angles! QX1 | Pearl White | HOW TO MAKE PEARL WHITE (QX1) Glasurit 55 Line Solvent Base Layer 1L Formula: 352-91: 175.7g 55-M25: 816.3g 55-A927: 65.4g 55-A590: 17.4g 55-M105: 15.3g Glasurit 55 Line Solvent Pearl Layer 1L Formula: 352-91: 174.1g 55-M919: 313.7g 55-M0: 354.2g 55-M1: 90.9g QX1, the colour code for Pearl White, is a very coarse multi layer white pearl that looks very beautiful when the sunlight hits it! It is a very coarse pearl that will blow you away compared to a regular white colour! Making this in Glasurit paint requires 2 different layers. First, you need to make the white base layer, which requires heaps of high strength white and some reduced black tint to only darken and dirty the white very slightly. Too much black and the colour would be more of a grey, but not enough black and the white won’t cover an OEM panel very well, so reduced black is 100% necessary! Then some reduced greenish blue is needed for a bit of a bluey tint and most importantly, some yellow ochre for a touch of a yellow tone! For the pearl layer, you need to use a lot of a very coarse diamond silver pearl that gives of a bright white sparkle effect at every angle! You also need lots of clear mixing binder to hold the pearl transparency layer together, along with some M1 effect additive to brighten up the pearl heaps directly in the sunlight! To apply the paint correctly, you need to apply the base layer first, and then the pearl layer over the top to give of that high sparkle QX1 pearl effect! There are over 12 variations of QX1 out of the OEM factory compared to the standard version! To find out which version of QX1 is yours exactly, visit a local paint shop that specialises with spectrophotometer technology! |

RAY | Deep Blue Pearl | HOW TO MAKE DEEP BLUE PEARL (RAY) Glasurit 55 Line Solvent 1L Formula: 352-91: 173.9g 11-E520: 52.0g 11-E620: 3.3g 55-A556: 242.7g 55-M0: 166.0g 55-A589: 130.5g 55-A929: 97.4g 55-M1: 45.4g 55-A125: 12.4g RAY, the colour code for Deep Blue Pearl, is a very dark blue with a bright greenish blue pearl that sparkles in the sunlight! This colour has been around since the 90s and was introduced to the R35 on the MY12 models, also known as the beginning of the face lift of the R35, the same time GAG was introduced! To make this colour in Glasurit paint, first a bunch of blue glitter pearl is added to create a bright blue sparkle in the sun, with a pinch of green glitter to give the pearl a slight green sparkle to it! Next, a bunch of greenish blue is added in to establish the colour base, with some mixing clear binder added to hold the pearls together. After that, some regular blue is added in to give the colour a much bluer tone, with some jet black added in to darken up the colour even more! Finally, some M1 flip additive is added to shift the pearls to be much brighter at a face angle and much darker at a side angle, with some reduced white added in to slightly lighten up the colour. All of that mixed together creates RAY Deep Blue Pearl! There exists a Greener version of the colour out of the OEM factory compared to the Standard version. RCB | Bayside Blue | HOW TO MAKE BAYSIDE (WANGAN) BLUE (RCB) * Dark Grey to Grey undercoat required to achieve the correct colour. Incorrect undercoat will result in poor paint coverage and an inaccurate colour match Glasurit 55 Line Solvent 1L Formula: 352-91: 174.1g 11-LE555: 100.6g 11-E520: 98.1g 55-M99/10: 29.3g 55-M0: 294.4g 55-A556: 132.4g 55-A423: 83.8g 55-A927: 28.8g RCB, the colour code for Wangan Blue (also known as Bayside Blue) is a complete reimagining of TV2, with a very purplish blue tone overall and an extremely blue metallic finish! This colour was introduced on the MY20 versions of the R35, with the colour being mainly designed for the 50th Anniversary R35s! To create this colour in Glasurit paint, first a very special blue metallic with a medium bright aluminium texture is added to establish the metallic base, along with a blue glitter pearl for a very bright blue sparkle pearl! Next, a medium fine aluminium silver is added in to give the metallic a bit of a dirtier look and a slightly finer texture, along with some clear mixing binder to help hold the pearl and special aluminium together! After that, some greenish blue is added in to establish the colour base, with some bluish violet poured in to swing the blue much closer to a purple tone. Finally, some reduced black is added to darken the overall colour. All of that mixed together creates RCB Wangan Blue! |
