Sports Resetting Line Up

There are three types of Nismo Sports Resetting: “TYPE-1,” “TYPE-2,” and “TYPE-3”. TYPE-1 is a specification that changes only the speed limiter for the purpose of avoiding danger due to speed difference during circuit driving. TYPE-2 and TYPE-3 are menus that bring out the performance of the engine to its maximum and evolve it into sporty engine characteristics. Sports Resetting for NISSAN GT-R (R35) uses TYPE-2 and TYPE-3. 

 

Sports Resetting Type 2

Developed to run faster and more enjoyable on the circuit. A special ECM (Engine Control Module) and a dedicated TCM (Transmission Control Module) are used, and the torque in the medium and low speed ranges is improved by tuning the TCM and ECM.

 

Features

During circuit driving:
-Since the torque in the medium and low speed range has been improved, the starting acceleration on pit roads and the like is improved.
- The shift-up point will definitely come to the fore even when accelerating on a long uphill.
- In low-speed corners such as chicane, the gears can be raised one step higher, so the acceleration at the exit is faster.
- When you don't know how fast you should go around the corner, you can select a higher gear.
- Since the [M] range + normal mode shift down response speed has been improved, selecting the [M] range + normal mode when driving on the circuit will not cause the rev limiter to operate without automatic shift up during acceleration. When decelerating, it is possible to aim for a safe time-up by a quick downshift*.

Specifications

Engine control Major changes

● Change of turbocharging pressure characteristics (within Nissan Motor Quality Assurance specified range)
Improves the turbocharging pressure in the middle / low speed range. Improves the feeling of acceleration in the low rotation range when starting and accelerating.
* For standard vehicles (up to '10 year model), replacement with high-accuracy boost sensor will also be implemented.

● Expand the stoichiometric ratio (theoretical mixing ratio) (for 2009 model)
Changed to 09 model specifications. As a result, the 07 and 08 models improve fuel efficiency.

Transmission control major changes 

* The settings for [M] range + normal mode have been changed.
● Improved shift down response speed in [M] range + normal mode (transmission setup switch) (for 2009 model)
* The '10 -year model and later models do not change the downshift response speed.

Sports Resetting Type 3

"TYPE-3" is a specification aimed at further improving performance compared to "TYPE-2", and is an engine tuning menu that maximizes the potential of the VR38 engine.

 

Features

Based on the premise that the dedicated ECM & TCM and parts for the engine upgrade menu will be combined with the NISMO Sports Catalyzer *, which is further reduced by nano-catalyst technology, we will review the turbocharging pressure characteristic settings and other factors. As a result, the response of the low rotation range and the improvement of the maximum output are realized. 

When running on sports such as circuits, sharp escape from corners, acceleration characteristics with long breath on straight, you can experience a light acceleration feeling by torque characteristics that rises quickly from low rotation in the street. 

In addition, it is a setting that fully considers the durability of the engine and transmission.
